The dansc listserv is an event announcement list for Sonoma County and the North Bay which promotes non-violent direct action.

Originally dansc stood for Direct Action Network Sonoma County. In the summer of 2001 it was changed to Global Justice Direct Action Network Sonoma County.

The purpose of GJDANSC was to promote and organize anti-corporate globalization affinity groups in Sonoma County. In the fall of 2002 it took on some of the organizing of the anti-Iraq war movement in Sonoma County, working within what came to be named Not In Our Name Sonoma County.

Currently GJDANSC is not an active organization. (This is being written on 2/8/04)
