jsem sice slaboproudař, ale na 99% bych se vsadil, ľe takové stykače
neexistují, a ľe ani vykračování tady nedává ľádný smysl.
Bohuľel nejsem schopen domyslet správné české výrazy. Nejlépe se zeptat
přímo odborníků na povrchovém dole.

Na povrchovych dolech pracuji kracejici rypadla/exkavatory. Napadlo me, ze
dopravnik muze být podobne chodici zvire. Nicmene bucket-wheel excavator
nerika nic o kraceni a walking conveyor se zda byt spise pohyblivym
chodnikem.

Vychazim vsak z toho, ze vykrajovaci se preklep a ze ten stykac nejak zapina
pohon pro kraceni (vykracovani) dopravniku. Stejne si myslim, ze ten
dopravnik bude walking nebo treba movable:

kontakt??

Stykace pravda vetsinou tohoto druhu nebyvaji (nebo jo?), ale treba jde uz o
preklad, contactors (stykace) se zhusta prekladaji jako kontakty, takze
mohlo vzniknout takove trochu zmateni kontakt/stykac???

Netvrdim, ze to tak je, ale bylo to prvni, co me napadlo..

To vykracovani by mohl byt nejaky pohyb bud celeho stroje, nebo jeho casti,
ale bez dalsiho kontextu, ktery nam Zuzana taji, tezko rict..

Oslovil jsem cloveka primo od velkostroju (Mostecka uhelna), zde jeho nazor:

Popisovaná zálezitost se týká spíse pasové dopravy, kde se pouzívají obrovské
motory,
které potrebují odporníky, spínané velmi výkonnými stykaci.
Co je to ale vykrajovací stykac, to netusím.
Mohlo by to mít význam v tom smyslu, ze podle pozadovaného výkonu je treba
zapínat vzdy urcité mnozství odporníku, takze se jakoby vykrajují z urcitého
mnozství odporníku. Mozná je to nejaký speciální stykac, který má nekolik
prívodu a spoustí je postupne.
Ve ctvrtek se zeptám elektrikáru prímo na pasovce a dám Vám vedet (pokud budou
znát, co to znamená).

To vykracovani ve smyslu postupne zkratovani by snad mohlo byt, ale nikdy jsem
nic takoveho neslysel. Coz ovsem neznamena, ze to nemuze byt nejaka podnikova
nebo oborova hantyrka, ktera se pak dostane i do oficialnich dokumentu.

Vykrajovaci ale muze byt preklep od vykracovaci (pokud tohle slovo existuje a ma
nejaky vyznam).

Správne je "vykracovací" , nikoliv "vykracovací".

Jedná se o to, ze u rotoru velkých motoru je treba po rozbehu provést vykrácení
odporníku.
Cesky bychom spíse mohli ríci jejich zapojení do zkratu.
Technici pouzívají namísto slova "vykracovací stykac" synonymum "vyrazovací
stykac".
Obojí je shodné, jedná se o to, ze stykac po rozbehu vykrátí (zkratuje)
odporníky.
Veta tedy zní
"Vykracování rídí prímo rídící systém stroje"
nebo
"Vyrazování rídí prímo rídící systém stroje"

Galavecer being a function/event, with presenter, probablky some sort of
entertainment, dinner, etc..... can't think of a nice simple word that would
cover that and sound sufficiently posh...

It's an immediate turnaround job, just thought I might get some fresh ideas, I
think I've been down this road before

Correct, I'm not sure there's a dinner, probably just a buffet...

All Gala Evening hits that came up on Google were on heavily Czenglish .cz
sites, so I scraped the idea, but if Madonna can go to one, then it's probably
OK..

Matej, I've noticed recently that if you use google.cz, it automatically
gives you cz sites first. I'm sure this didn't use to happen, so it must
be a recent change. I had exactly the same experience as you when I
looked up 'gala evening' to check. Then, when I tried google.co.uk, I
got a good selection of hits from the UK.

All very frustrating for the translator who doesn't want the results to
be skewed in any way...

I get the options page by running a search, then on the search
results page, there's a link at the top (under the logo but above the
search results) that says "Show options".  When I click on that, I
get the left side nav bar that you can see in Melvyn's linked article.
