... Nekdy se take bezne vyjadruje jako "is/was supposed to have been", e.g. Jenomze stary peniz, jak si divka overila, byl soucasti tzv. pokladu byzantskeho

Ja si prave myslim, ze "pernikova chaloupka se mela nachazet uprostred lesa" = se udajne nachazela uprostred lesa je takovy "preklik" anglicke struktury do

Hi Valerie and Matej, I think we do use "mel + INFINITIVE" is the sense "was said to (PERFECT) INFINITIVE". The word "udajne" (allegedly) is often used along
