Welcome to the Curious Georger: American Currency Tracking Project Message area.
Are you interested in finding out where your money goes? This place could be for you! "Georging" is the act of marking paper currency with a modest note directing the finder to an internet address for the purpose of reporting their Zip Code along with the denomination type and the serial numbers on the tagged dollar bill in their possetion.
Original entry makers and subsequent "Georgers" get to also afix a personal note to the InterNet database entry so that as a Bill travels, over time and it's history - It develops a growing set of messages from people who have held it. Like Ham radio QSL postcards which Ham Radio Operators used to send to their Distant Contacts.

But just so everyone here knows what my bill ratings are:
Mint = New Minty fresh bill with no human finger oil spots.
Good = Bill is still crisp with no creases, but just one tiny imperfection in it's condition makes it "Not Mint"
Fair = Bill is slightly worn, but still with no creases - Slight signs of wear appearing (most common bill rating)
Worn = Bill has creases, fading of green inkings, WheresGeorge.COM stamp on the front and back (Smile)
Torn = Bill has Tears on edges or worse - Usually a bill in this collection will be retired at the next FDIC bank it enters....

So those are the five distinctions I make when evaluating paper money. You'll note I can be rather exacting with just these 5 levels of Bill Condition.
