A forum to discuss proper canning techniques for experienced and "newbie" canners alike, exchange tried and true canning recipes, and share our love of preserving. While we discuss older methods of canning for their historical values, we follow current USDA methods only.
Recipes submitted must include exact measurements, directions, water bath or pressure canner times, and approximate yields.
As many of the members here have been friends since the group began, we share a lot more than just canning. Need a laugh or an inspiration or a prayer for yourself or a loved one, you will get that here too.
This is a very "chatty" group so please join in the "chit chat". Mail volume is heavy so if you don't want a lot of individual mails, set your preference to "Daily Digest". Note though that only those on individual mail can see stationery and receive attachments.
