As I have started a blog called CreationEvolutionDesign, I terminated this list on Friday 22 July 2005, by converting it to "Moderator only can post." This means I am no longer approving new members.

This list (CED) is for sharing and discussing creation, evolution and design issues. All positions on those issues are welcome.

After 5+ years an old-Earth creationist on evolutionist-dominated lists, I was wasting too much time dealing with evolutionist personal attacks, rather than the issues. So I started CED as a list open to all, where debate on the issues would be maximised and personal attacks minimised. This required a fair set of rules that are enforced.

The rules of CED are:
1. Undermining the Moderator is incompatible with membership.
2. Rudeness, vulgarity, profanity and blasphemy are not permitted.
3. Vigorous attacks against a member's position are expected, but attacks against a member's person (e.g. "liar", "dishonest", etc), won't be tolerated.
4. Mutual respect and sensitivity towards opposing views are essential.
5. While there is no limit on the number of posts per member/per day, quality not quantity should be the aim.
6. Joining and posting can be anonymous, but new members are encouraged to introduce themselves by at least their first name.

I am writing a book, "Problems of Evolution," so I am withdrawing from debate on CED.
