SCHOOLEY
JACK S.
Age 80, peacefully after a brief illness, on Monday, November 8, 2004. He was
preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Mildred (Moreland) Schooley; loving
father of Christine (Robert) Gerlack of Upper St. Clair and Rick (Marjorie)
Schooley of Hopewell Twp. and the late Sandra L. Schooley; nine grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; brother of Harold (Nancy) Schooley of Youngstown.
Jack was born and raised in Crafton, where he graduated from Crafton High School
in 1942. He was also a turret gunner and Staff Sgt. with the U.S. Army Air Force
during WWII and flew over 35 missions. In 1945 he entered business with his
father, John and owned and operated Schooley's Auto Service for over 40 years
until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Crafton Lodge #653 F&AM, as
well as the Crafton United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received Tuesday, 7-9pm; Wednesday, 2-4; 7-9pm at the
SCHEPNER-MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton, where the funeral
service will be held 12 noon Thursday. Masonic service 7:30pm Wednesday.
