WALKER
RUTH ELIZABETH (STEWART)

Suddenly, on Saturday, September 18, 2004, age 77 of Crafton. Beloved wife of
the late William P. Walker Sr. who preceded her in death in 2000; devoted and
cherished mother of Scott R. (Linda Cardello) Walker of Whitehall and William P.
Jr. (Mary Anne Regan) of Sarver; loving grandma of Scott John Walker of
Whitehall, Kimberly Anne Walker of Cranberry and Patrick Don Walker of Sarver;
dear sister of Clary W. Stewart of Crafton, Elsie Mae (Stewart) Walker of
Bridgeville & Mary Lou (Stewart) Morton of Southampton, NJ. Also survived by
numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family received Monday and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the
SCHEPNER-MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian
Burial 10 am Wednesday at St. Philips Church, with Interment at Union Dale
Cemetery. Ruth was a 1944 graduate of Crafton High School and longtime resident
of Crafton. In her early years Ruth was well known for her ballet and acrobatic
dance and was also an accomplished pianist. Ruth and Bill raised two grateful
sons in Crafton. In the 1960's Ruth worked as an Insurance Underwriter, was an
active member of CIT Baseball Women's Assoc., ran the Crafton Park Little League
Candy Stand in 1963 and was Vice President of CIT Baseball Women's Assoc. in
1964. In the 1980-90's Ruth worked for Crafton Public Library.

Ruth loved sports, was an avid reader and had many Letters to the Editor at the
PG published. She had many dear friends in Crafton and also worked at the polls
on many election days. Ruth was a kind and loving person who always thought of
others. Ruth will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
