WALKER RICHARD A. "DICK" JR.
Of Jensen Beach, FL, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 after a
long illness in Robinson Twp., Former Mayor of Crafton and well known owner of
the R.A. Walker Real Estate Agency in Crafton. He served with the U.S. Navy
during WWII in the Pacific Theater as a Gunner's Mate aboard USS DE422. Member
of the American Legion Frank R. Kirk Post 145 and 32nd degree Mason also a
member of the Crafton Lodge 653.
Born in Pgh. PA October 6, 1925. Beloved husband of the late Virginia (Roberts);
brother of Margaret Wilson of Tampa, FL; loving father of Bruce Walker of
Monticello, MN, Mark Walker (Mary Ann) of Robinson Twp., Gale (John) Rogers of
Lancaster and Richard III (Audena) Walker of Charlotte, NC. Proud grandfather of
M. Stephen Jr. (Kathy) Walker, Kerri Ann and the late Joseph N. (survived by
wife, Maureen) Walker, Eva (Dan) Swiger, Virginia (Brian) Nofstier, John Rogers
Jr., Madeline, Andrew and Maxwell Walker and five great- grandchildren.
Family and friends received Wednesday 7-9pm and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the
SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave. Crafton. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Philip Church 9:30am Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to
the American Cancer Society or the Forbes Hospice. A memorial luncheon will be
held at the Craftonian Hall, 48 Division St., Crafton immediately following the
interment.
