This group is a Home Education Support group which welcomes all home educators who live in and around the County of Durham. The area covered includes: Durham City, Chester-Le-Street, Barnard Castle, Darlington, Newton Aycliffe, Spennymoor and the Wear Valley. Home Educators and anyone considering home educating are welcome whether they are members of a Home Education Organisation or not. Home educators from surrounding areas are also welcome.

This list offers information sharing of everything and anything to do with home education including relevant internet links, places to get resources both locally and online and places and events to access in County Durham. Group get-togethers are often arranged between members in various areas of County Durham to allow people to meet up to share experiences and friendships.
