An academic and scientific discussion group for professional and reasoned debate and analysis of ways to check or prevent global terrorism. This list is for faculty and professionals in academia, research, health care, policy makers, legislators, top managers, news media journalists, and information systems experts. Membership is restricted and subject to approval on the basis of academic or professional qualifications or work experience.
Membership requests should include brief statement of your highest academic degree and relevant experiernce. For security reasons, your full name and primary Internet e-mail account should be submitted; no anomyous memberships are permitted unless there is a legitimate security reason. Use of the "no e-mail" setting is not permitted. All postings must be signed with the member's actual name (not an alias). Thus, we will need your actual name and primary or verifiable email account.
Posting privileges are open and unrestricted however this is not a group for political or social advocacy or platform for furthering one's political or point of view. The one is exception is, during the Presidential election campaign, political discussions are permitted on Fridays through Mondays to give members an opportunity to participate in the important debates.
The discussion groups are for academic and scholarly debate and information sharing, and the postings are important public policy and historical information that are freely made available to researchers, policy analysts, students, news media, and the general public.
