THE MOST Honest & Detailed Descriptions you've seen I'll bet!!!

I'm moving so my SWEET LITTLE 1-bedroom Cabina/Cottage is FOR RENT starting THIS
Fri. - January 27!!

Don't tell me Escazu is just a hoitie/toytie place with high rents & gringos
running all over the place!!! If you believe - there are MAGICAL spaces to be
found for a GOOD price!!! 6 months ago I found this SWEET little 1-bedroom,
Semi-Furnished Cottage/Cabina with INCREDIBLE views from a big picture window
overlooking the mountains of Escazu - up at 5,000 feet/1,500 meters! In the
nearby village - hardly anyone speaks English & the rent is JUST $400/month!!!!
Yet - just 5-10 minutes away you have all those gringo conveniences Escazu is
famous for (fyi - you go into any of those restaurants - TGIFridays, McDonald's,
KFC, Tony Romas+ & how many gringos do you see? In my 6-1/2 years being here -
hardly any other than me & who all I was with!!)

Other than the FABULOUS VIEW, one of my FAV things here is the BEAUTIFUL big
rock wall behind the bed (oh, & the comfy bed!!!)!

Walk in & there is the "kitchen". It's not a full-on kitchen. There's a fair
amount of counter space & some cupboards down below, but the "sink" is just one
of those small bar sinks. It only comes with a fridge (if you ask for it) so you
need to bring everything else (I just had one of those single burner hot plate
type things which I found quite adaquet, a toaster oven & microwave).

INCLUDES:
Semi-FURNISHED (livingroom furniture, tv, fridge, Queen bed with bedding [I find
the bed QUITE comfy], 2 bar stools, 2 chairs, curtains, one set per person hotel
towels) • ELECTRICITY • CABLE TV (with many American/English channels) • WATER •
HOT WATER in Shower (turn tank on when you need to use it).

Does NOT Include:
YOU bring in your own little counter burner, microwave, toaster oven or
whatever, dishes, pots & pans, coffee maker & that kind of stuff. You clean the
place yourself on the longer-term rentals.

RENT:
$400/month (or $210/week, or $30/night)
You can do it month-to-month (if it's shorter term they may not charge a deposit
or just a minimum one [my circumstances were different because I was referred by
a friend that lived there).

LAUNDRY:
NOT included - but if you tip/treat her well - Vilma - the housekeeper at the
hotel - may do your laundry for you!

PICTURES OF THE CABINA+:
I've created a photo site of the drive/walk, the cottage/cabina, the hotel & the
neighborhood at:
http://SarongGoddess.com/Other/COTTAGE-for-Rent-Escazu-SAnton/21153889_m8TR37

LOCATION:
WAYYYYYY up in the mountains - ABOVE San Antonio de ESCAZU downtown (the east
mountains of San Antonio - where the church is & the incredible Wall Sculpture!)
- up on the grounds of (before) Hotel Pico Blanco

NOTES:
STAIRS TO THE UNIT: From where the apartments are, you would walk down 2-1/2
flights of stairs (with plants around - it FEELS good!!!)]
PHONE LINE: You may be able to get a phone line added but YOU have to be able to
qualify for that via ICE (resident)
INTERNET: You may be able to split the WiFi with the neighbor below (I've been
using it but it was my WiFi router we were using so that won't be available.
Otherwise you might want to get a Kolbi Datacard (but if you need any real
speed, you might want to get the max speed which is around $30/month).
CELL CONNECTION: I have had challenges with my iPhone/3G connection (it IS an
ultra basic iPhone 3 & others have been fine) & forget GSM
If you don't need/want to communicate with others - this could be perfect for
you!
DOGS: The MAIN reason I'm leaving - what triggered it - is there is a SWEET BIG
Guard Dog just under the Livingroom Window. I LOVE him - & he does a GREAT job
at playing Guard Dog - barking - especially at motorcycles & cars coming up the
driveway & now there are 2 small yappers upstairs which triggers him. Wearing
ear plugs has helped - especially sleep wise.
PARKING: Open Parking is only up at the hotel

WHY I'M LEAVING:
I've been living here 6 months & have loved it - but I LOVE/NEED TOTAL SILENCE &
now that there are 4 dogs going off (the main guard dog is now egged on by the 2
yappers & then another one joins in sometimes. They're ALL REALLY SWEET dogs
that I LOVE - but . . . )!!!! I also MUST have good/fast/strong cell & internet
connection - plus there's some of the end of the rainy season mold which my bod
is ubber sensitive to (that will clear up once a deep cleaning up comes). I'm
REALLY going to miss the neighbors & staff who have been VERY welcoming &
inclusive - even inviting me to their little celebration that's done when they
take the nativity scene down - or the Prayer for the Children celebration where
it's mainly their family & the other workers!! I felt SOOOO HONORED to be
included (even if I didn't understand much of it)!! The views from the big
picture window in the livingroom - helped bring the calm MANY a days!! I loved
being able to hike up a block to the hotel for the views if I wanted the
gorgeous City Lights fix, or to eat their bbque ribs (MY FAV!!!! Sooooo juicy &
fatty!!!) or their steak (if they weren't real busy or I could be patient -
sometimes they'd deliver dinner down to me!! if I was being lazy [for a fee of
course]) or for a drink!! Recently I even started getting off my tush & hiking
around the mountain!!! I always felt very safe here!

I'm also going because I have the opportunity to house sit for 2 friends homes
back-to-back that are for rent (for free)!

This is the perfect place for someone!!!

Feel free to call me before 10am Fri. at 8-378-6679 to come see it now - or call
the hotel directly at 2-228-1908 & speak with Laurie (a guy) during the day - or
Steven at night (tell them Vicki Connected you).

NOTE: This $400/month is the BOTTOM LINE PRICE so no agents unless you're adding
to it as I asked them to give the lowest price they'll go (they were asking
$450). (I make not one cent on it. I'm just sharing it since I'm having to leave
so fast)

Vicki - STILL going to be in Escazu
