THE FIRST HOUR

Have you noticed that the first hour or so of your day often sets the
tone for the rest of the day? If things don't go right in the
morning, if you've overslept, if the kids are crabby, if your husband
hurts your feelings, if you spill something on your clothes on the
way out the door, if the car won't start.... it can affect your mood
and how you approach your day!

Well guess what, ladies? It's the same way for your hubbies! Your cop
may be big, strong, and masculine, but he is affected by the things
that are going on around him, too! Do something to help his day begin
positively!

You know your man better than anyone else. What would put a smile on
his face and encourage him as his day begins? A cup of hot coffee? A
hug and a kiss? An "I love you, baby"? Maybe a little help getting
his things together for him the night before? A short prayer
together?

Whether his "morning" begins at 0600 hours or 1800 hours, help your
officer start off his day on a good note!

PRAYER: Father, thank you for each new day and the chance to start
fresh! Help these ladies to be an encouragement to their husbands
first thing each day! In Jesus' name, amen.
