LET'S HELP WITH THE RELIEF EFFORT
***Please join each other in praying this prayer. Then read all the
way through to find links to organizations providing relief to
officers in the gulf area and to victims.***
A PRAYER FOR THE EMERGENCY WORKERS AND VICTIMS:
Father, we lift up all of the emergency workers who live in the gulf
area and those who are being sent in to help! Amidst all the pain,
suffering and death, protect your heroes lives! We ask for a hedge of
protection to continually surround them and for supernatural
intervention in everything that they do! Protect their emotions, too,
so that they come out mentally and emotionally intact when this is
over. Give them the grace to be able to retrieve the bodies of the
dead and to be patient when all patience should be lost. We also ask
that you would provide for the emergency workers' families while
their loved ones are busy helping the victims. Give the families
provision and peace of mind, knowing that YOU are caring for their
loved one! For those emergency workers who also lost everything they
had in Hurricane Katrina, BLESS THEM with double to make up for what
they lost when this is over!
We also lift up all of the victims and those who lost loved ones in
the hurricane. Father, we feel their pain and ask that you would
somehow comfort them with a supernatural comfort that can only come
from you. Provide for their physical, financial, and emotional needs.
Help those who survived to be able to contact their loved ones...
connect those who cannot find each other. Father, we ask that you
would move upon the hearts of people to continue to help these
victims until they are back on their feet again. Surround them with
your love and with people who will love them! In Jesus' name, amen!
