WIVES ON THE BEAT

"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and
thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who
are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life
in all godliness and dignity."
1Timothy 2:1-2 (NAS)

Ladies, your husbands are not the only ones who can make a difference
in protecting and serving their community. You may not carry a gun or
wear a badge, but you have just as much ability to protect and serve
as he does!

Your husband may be out there patrolling or investigating, doing
undercover work or supervising officers, guarding prisoners or
working in the schools, or any number of things in a law enforcement
capacity. Your role as his wife on the beat is to cover his 'beat'
with prayer!

Pray for the people of the city or area in which he works. Pray for
the people he supervises, answers to, and the colleagues he works
with. Pray for the citizens, suspects and situations he will come in
contact with. Pray also that Satan's plans and strategies for his
beat would be broken. You will be paving a path for God's angels to
intervene and for God's peace to reign!

Don't ever negate the importance of the prayer backup that you bring
to the streets, schools, prisons, or wherever it is that your husband
serves! Crime rates can be lowered, safety can be increased, entire
situations can be turned around, and lives can be changed simply
because of your prayers!

PRAYER: Father, impress on these ladies the incredible importance of
their prayer backup on their husband's beat! Reveal to them that they
are 'wives on the beat' and that their service and protection is just
as crucial as the service and protection provided by their husbands!
