WEAR AND TEAR

"Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may ... be in good
health..." 3John vs. 2

Last time we chatted, you prayed for your husband to have favor on
the job. This week, let's pray for his physical health. You want that
man to stay healthy and live a long life!

Your husband's job can include some very long hours. He has regular
hours, OT, and maybe even some off duty work. Add to that the unique
physical and mental stressors of the job, and there's potential for
some heavy wear and tear on his body!

Your man needs to take care of himself in order to survive such a
stress-filled career! Pray these things for your husband:

1. Pray that the healing power of God may be constantly at work
within his body so that he can LIVE in divine health!

2. Pray that he will continue to stay in shape (or get in shape if he
has let it slide). Exercise and working out will not only keep him
healthy, it will also give him the upper edge if he has to chase or
fight suspects! He'll also be less moody when he works out!

3. Pray that your husband will see the benefit and necessity of a
good healthy diet (you can help him in this by being watchful of what
foods are on the grocery list).

4. Pray that he will get enough sleep. Sleep deprivation sets the
body up for sickness and makes for an ornory man!

5. Pray that he will take some time off to refresh when he is getting
burnt out on the job. Even a day or two of vacation can change his
outlook.

Sometimes the husbands are so engrossed in their jobs that they
aren't aware of how much it is negatively affecting their health. Do
all you can to help through prayer and practical means!
