SHIELDED WITH FAVOR
"For it is Thou who dost bless the righteous man, O Lord, Thou dost
surround him with favor as with a shield."
Psalm 5:12 (NAS)
The nature of your husband's job will oftentimes put him at odds with
people while he is on duty. Sometimes it's the administration who
isn't very conducive; other times it's coworkers who are hard to work
with. And quite often, especially if he's on the street or working in
the prisons, he will have clientele who can be difficult.
This week, I would like you to pray for your husband to have great
favor with everyone he comes into contact with. Pray that his quality
of work will be top notch, that his superiors will notice his good
work, and that he will be sought out for his opinions and advice.
Pray also that he would have favor with the citizens he comes in
contact with and even with suspects. Your prayers can give your
husband such wisdom in speaking to suspects that the bad guys will be
more likely to go peaceably or to admit to a crime!
When your husband comes home and reports to you about some of the
favor he's had, tell him that you have specifically been praying for
this! You will find that he is a happier man when he is walking in
the favor of God on his job!
PRAYER: Father, give favor to these ladies' husbands as they go about
their jobs this week. Cause them to walk in favor in the office, out
on the street, with citizens, and even with suspects. Give the
officers the words to speak that would pave a path of favor in all
circumstances! In Jesus' name, amen.
