PRAYERS FOR MY LEO HUSBAND...
"My Prayer of Commitment As His Wife"
Father, today I am recommitting myself to be a good wife to my husband! Your
Word says that a man who finds a wife finds a GOOD thing... (Proverbs 18:22). I
desire to be a GOOD thing in my husband's life!
I commit myself to being a trustworthy spouse. My husband can count on me to be
honest, wise, faithful and loyal (Proverbs 31:11). I will be his best friend and
will be there for him when he needs an ear to listen.
As my husband's helper, I will be supportive and encourage him. Because we are
knit together as one in marriage, no one else knows him like I do or can
encourage him in the way that I can (Genesis 2:20-25)! I will speak words that
build him up as a man and as an officer and will never use my words to tear him
down (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
I will be wise in the way that I handle our family's finances, never spending
money foolishly (Proverbs 31:16). I will manage our household with wisdom and
kindness (Proverbs 31:26-27).
If my husband is ever disobedient to the Word of God, I will not nag him.
Rather, I will live a godly life before him so as to win him back to God (1
Peter 3:1-2).
I respect and honor my husband's leadership in our home (Ephesians 5:22-24). I
commit to praying for him everyday. When trying times come, I will prayerfully
seek an answer to our problems and be obedient to whatever the Spirit of God
shows me to do (Psalm 32:8).
I recognize my husband's need for intimacy. I will never deprive him or withhold
intimacy as a means of retaliation (1 Corinthians 7:3-5). Our bodies belong to
each other only and I will never stray with another in my mind or in action! I
will always remain faithful (Matthew 5:27-28)!
I will work to make our home a place of peace and love, and to be an example of
a godly marriage! AMEN!
