LOVERS FOREVER...Part 3 "Back to Courting!"

"His mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly desirable. This is
my beloved and this is my friend..."
Song of Solomon 5:16 (NAS)

While you and Officer Wonderful were dating, you probably held hands,
put your arms around each other, stole some kisses, enjoyed each
other's company, did sweet little things for each other, and
professed your love for one another! Has the fun and excitement of
dating worn off since you've been married? It shouldn't!

If the distractions of daily life have lessened the thrill of your
relationship, it's time to reclaim your courting days!! You need to
make a concerted effort to keep the love and excitement alive!
Married love should be even more exciting than courtship love!

I realize that Officer Wonderful probably works some long and odd
hours. But there's no reason that you two can't find some time for
each other and rekindle your love! Your marriage is worth the effort!

Need some ideas? Plan to meet him for lunch/supper, even if it's at
an odd time, and don't forget to steal some kisses! Keep in touch
with an occasional phone call during work hours. Stick a sealed
steamy love note in his lunch or squad bag...love notes keep you in
each other's minds, especially if you work opposite shifts! Send an e-
mail to him at work professing your love for him. Plan to make love
when he comes home from work, even if he works nights (He'll love
that surprise!). Plan a date every week, even something as simple as
taking a long walk alone together while holding hands.

God never intended for married love to be boring! Instead, He planned
for it to be exciting and fulfilling! Plan ways to rekindle the
romance and see just how fun it can be continuing the courtship!

PRAYER: Father, rekindle the love and excitement in each of these
marriages! May their passion be renewed and their love for one
another become more intimate than ever before! In Jesus' name, amen.
