LOVERS FOREVER...Part 2 "What If He's Not Living For God?"

"Wives...place yourselves under your husbands' authority. Some
husbands may not obey God's word. Their wives could win these men for
Christ by the way they live without saying anything. Their husbands
would see how pure and reverent their lives are."
1Peter 3:1-2 (GOD'S WORD version)

Some of you are married to non-Christian husbands. Others are married
to men who are Christians, but they aren't currently living for God.
Both situations can be frustrating!

What do you do when your husband is not obeying the Word? Do you sit
him down and try to tell him what he needs to do to get right with
God? Most cops don't like being told what to do and won't take very
well to that tactic!

1Peter 3 says that you will win your husband over by your behavior,
not by discussion! Nagging and pleading and lecturing are not the
ways to reach him. He will be won instead by observing your Godly
Christian living!

By showing your husband respect and honor, living a Godly life, and
placing yourself under his authority, you open the door for God to
move in his heart. It might not happen overnight, but over time, your
husband will see your consistency and love and be moved by it.

Pray for your husband, serve him, love him. Your actions will speak
louder than anything you could ever say! God doesn't want you to give
up on your husband! Rather, He will use your life to reach him!

PRAYER: Father, we ask that those husbands who are disobedient to the
Word of God will see their need for Jesus and will begin to live for
Him! Send people to them who will be able to reach them, and help
these wives to be a glowing Christian example to their husbands! In
Jesus' name, amen.
