PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for Deputy Paul who was seriously injured
in a wreck while on a traffic stop. His wife, Polly, is on the
devotional list. She asked that we pray for his healing, and that he
would be peaceful and calm so that he can heal properly. Keep Polly
in prayer as well!

CONSTIPATED?

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things
there is no law."
Galatians 5:22-23 (NAS)

It is important that you increase the amount of fruit in your home in
order to avoid constipation... the fruit of the Spirit, that is! A
lack of spiritual fruit will cause the movement of blessings in your
life to become sluggish and constipated!

Nothing stops the flow of blessings and harmony in a family faster
than a lack of spiritual fruit! When you see undesirable attitudes
and behavior creaping into your home, do a quick inventory of the
fruits of the Spirit... you will likely see that one or more of them
are missing.

Strife, outbursts of anger, envy, unforgiveness, disobedience,
impatience, and any other form of sin are directly opposed to the
qualities of spiritual fruit. Godly qualities and sinful qualities
cannot coexist. One will win out.

Purpose to get a good dose of Godly fiber from the fruits of the
Spirit every single day! When you do, these fruits will drive the
negative qualities right out of your home!

I get a chuckle out of the fact that the Bible says that these fruits
are "not against the law!" How fitting for a law enforcement family!
Not only are they not against the law, but they are infinite in their
supply and you can never possess too much!

PRAYER: Father, help us to inventory our lives when we see
undesirable attitudes and behaviors in our homes. We purpose to
continually increase in spiritual fruit so that we will have peace in
our homes and be effective in ministering to others! In Jesus' name,
amen.
