MOLD YOURSELF!
"...wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of
them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by
the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and
respectful behavior."
1 Peter 3:1-2 (NAS)
Do you spend a lot of your time and emotional energy trying to change
your husband? A lot of wives try to change their husband's
undesirable traits. But it really isn't your job to change him. All
you'll end up with is a resentful cop and a frustrated cop's wife!
When you try to change your husband, you are really attempting to
control him. You may have all the best intentions, and he very well
may need to change! But changes need to come from his heart, and you
cannot force a change in someone's heart.
Instead of trying to mold your husband into what you want him to be,
focus your energy on molding YOURSELF into who God wants YOU to
become! As you grow and make godly changes in your own life, your
husband will see that godliness.
You work on you, and let God work on your hubby! It'll take the
pressure off of both of you!
PRAYER: Father, as these women work to mold themselves into the women
you have destined them to become, work on their husbands' hearts to
become the men that they are destined to become! Remind the ladies to
pray daily for their husbands and to trust you to work in them! In
Jesus' name, amen.
