Parents agree to care for support and raise children until they can do so themselves. At that time, the parent moves to Hawaii, Costa Rica or some such tropical place where gambling is legal and property is cheap. The kids take over working and paying all the taxes.

Some parents however, fail to see the appeal in this and choose instead, to dedicate their beach time making sure their children live correctly. Or, at least what the parent sees as living correctly.

The members of this list are children of these parents. In this list we choose to share what we will, or not. There is no charge for lurking. All of us are somewhere along a path, and we all have to find our own unique way down it.

Some call it abusive, co-dependent, controlling, emotional abuse*, covert insects*, over entanglement. It has no solid name and a very murky definition. Most social service agencies have not pinned down that definition and so have no real way of fighting it the way they can with physical abuse. This list then is mainly concerned with non physical forms of abuse as, malicious gossiping, legal and system abuse, crazymaking, emotional abuse, verbal battering and mental abuse, deliberately creating divisiveness among siblings and other relatives, isolation, and stalking and harassment. The words of the members of this list will hopefully someday soon create that definition and provide a catalyst for change among agencies currently dealing with eliminating domestic abuse in all its forms.
