WELCOME to our Colonial Newsletter Foundation (CNLF) eSIG (electronic Special Interest Group) on the Early American Continental Dollar of 1776.

This eSIG is a CNLF iterative Study and in-depth Research activity dedicated specifically to the Continental Dollar coinage.

Membership is by invitation only and is generally limited to experienced collectors of the Continental Dollar coinage who are willing to share and post digital images of some of the
specimens in their collections.

If you are new to the Continental Dollar series and would like to learn by listening and asking questions - you are certainly welcome. Your first question may well be - is the Continental Dollar really a dollar? Or even - who made them?
