Hi Darren. Yes if a gusty wind hit me in air I have to try to gently use the breaks, after controlling the wing I would use the rear A lines, its even better...

In paragliding,loss off the brakes is something that could happen,but don't fret,all is not lost.Ample steering ability is still available using the "D" risers...
