Welcome to the Connecticut Region 2 Amateur Radio Emergency Service discussion list.
This list is to provide information about the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) in the State of Connecticut. Region 2 is comprised of 30 towns located within Fairfield, New Haven and Middlesex counties.
Attachments are not allowed on the list. This is to prevent the spread of viruses directly by this list. The list supports "text only" messages. Text only messages are also easily transfered to other modes of communication, such as CW and packet radio.
Jokes, Flaming, For Sale, individual conversations, etc. are inappropriate on this list. ONLY ARES related information is to be discussed on this list.
Amateur Radio events and ARES sponsored events may be announced on this list.
I hope you enjoy the list, and that the ConnARES-Region 2 List helps to support ARES operations in Connecticut.
