I have also recently used some of their Heat Shrink Tubing. I do like the finish but I the only problem I had was that I heated the tube up a little to hot on...

My answer would be to use "Metal Glaze" by evercoat. Spreads like mayonnaise, sandable in 20 minutes. Could shoot primer over that, but I'd just paint. Wedge...
