Clwb Malu Cachu is for Welsh learners, Welsh speakers, people who would like to learn Welsh and, of course, anyone who simply likes the look of it. Just think of Clwb Malu Cachu as the email equivalent of a leisurely pint and bag of pork scratchings at your local pub, Ol’ Jim’s Sumptuous Ferret Emporium.
Your hostesses on the list are Suw and Debs. We both look forward to welcoming you to Clwb Malu Cachu and to passing round the beer and chocolate pretzels.
We want Clwb Malu Cachu to be a fun and friendly place for you to practice your Welsh and to make as many mistakes as you like. When you’re learning a new language it’s impossible not to make a pig’s breakfast of it sometimes, so please don’t feel self-conscious when posting and don’t worry about occasionally talking rubbish! However, please bear in mind that Clwb Malu Cachu is a post-9pm watershed environment so sometimes posts can get quite emphatic.
The CMC web site, available at http://www.clwbmalucachu.co.uk, is stuffed full of material to help you learn Welsh, including short stories, audio files for download, grammar cheat sheets, features, interviews, book reviews and a weblog.
