The Civilian Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CivPK) eGroup is an informal electronic network for those involved in training civilian peacekeepers, and for anybody who is interested in policy or related issues with regard to the civilian roles in peacekeeping and peacebuilding. Civilian Peacekeepers refer to all non-military and non-police personnel. These include political affairs, civil affairs, public information, human rights, humanitarian, electoral and all the support categories, i.e. personnel, finance, communications, logistics, procurement, etc. This CivPK YahooGroup hope to create a forum where those people involved in the civilian aspects of peacekeeping and peacebuilding can exchange ideas, comments and information, and in that way, contribute to our common understanding and professionalization of these roles.
