Contact Improvisation Dancers' Community of Los Angeles

CI (aka Contact Improv, or Contact Improvisation Dance), is a delightful experience where two or more dancers "talk" using a physical language of lifts, supports, rolls, weight transfers, dancer's own artistic expression and background.

CI is usually done barefoot, with or without live music. It is open to people of all ages and walks of life. CI is boatloads of fun, and does not require any special skills or training.

Ci-LA is a virtual place for Los Angeles based contact dancers to converse, hang out, get the news. If you are a contact dancer in Los Angeles, or simply interested, by all means - join us! Everybody's welcome!

Ci-LA group is part of Yahoo Groups.  You may choose to just get emails, or, if you'd like to have access to the archive of the messages, and to the Group's calendar, you can sign-in with your Yahoo ID, and use the web interface. If you wish not to to receive any emails from this group, you can specify so in your subscription preferences.

To subscribe to the group by e-mail, send e-mail to Ci-LA-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. You'll get an automatic e-mail in return. Simply reply to this e-mail to be subscribed to the group. (The e-mail also contains instructions to sign-up through a link, but that way is actually more confusing.) You'll get a confirmation e-mail once the moderator approves your membership.
