Description

This group is created for those people who share a fascination and interest in churches, the church architecture, the history, the "feel" of the buildings. Share your views and visits, ask on-topic questions of fellow members, and maybe solve that puzzle that has been around for some time! Since being established in June 1999, the list has developed a character of its own - which you are welcome to read in the archived messages. In the Summer of 2000 a sister-group was also launched, churchpictures, to share photos and pictures of churches.

Yes, E. W. Pugin, 1853-4. The altar is of 1864, although it's been brought forward and the throne and reredos are now in the side chapels. cbn
