Who Cares Beans for Me



In all these years of confusion
it was never quite easy to see
of all these many women
who cares beans for me?
I see all these men and women fighting
and for all the wrong reasons criticizing
why should it be so surprising
if I really just can't see
I don't fancy every woman
who lays a trip on me
sometimes I do
and she never follows through
who cares beans for me?

I think it all kind of got mixed up
because the Good Lord said to me
be like Joseph when he loved Mary
if only you could see
'cause I feel so abused
when it gets so confused
and you're not even listening to me
I've been heartbroken for too long
'cause everything went wrong
who cares beans for me?

All this hostile competition
isn't really very Christian
and you're just not listening to me
'cause I expect my brothers and sisters
to love their brothers and sisters
and let the Lord Jesus bring it on home to me
If a lady has the decency
to be real sweet with me
and if you love me
then you'll love her
and if you love her
you'll love me

I don't want any trouble
but it's really quite important, you see
I'm an honest Christian gentleman
trusting Jesus to find me a girlfriend
and it hurts so much
and there's just no end, so
who cares beans for me?
