Description

Chryseis is a female charactor in Homer's Iliad. She was taken captive during the war and given as booty to the victor. She was young and fertile and treated as prized property as many women were. Women were seen as objects to be taken and men wanted the most fertile women so there genes would carry on.
Chryseis was one of the lucky ones. Her father went to the gods and asked in their aid in her release. Many women have not escaped the violent men in their life and may have suffered brutal, sexual, physical or emotional abuse.
This list is for women who have suffered abuse which they feel resulted in a physical ailment. My goal for this list is to provide a supportive, trusting environment for women to talk about the abuse and how it may have effected their health. Examples of topics would include but are not limited to endometriosis, fibromyalgia, poly cystic ovarian syndrome, infertility, and miscarriage.
We have fought many battle and now it is time for us to be victorious. Together we can do what we cannot do alone.
Teens are strongly advised, topics may be difficult to deal with emotionally. This site is not a place of professional medical or psychological advice merely a support. Please do not sign up for this list if your sole intention is to tell people that their illness could not have been caused by trauma. This is a support site.
