Some Interpret This As Meaning We 'To This Day' Ought To Be Looking To Egypt For Signs To Guide Us Or Illustrate Scripture.
This Is The New King James Translation And It Is Different From Most Translations Which Say 'Performed' Rather Than Set And Other Translations Don't Leave The Impression That These Signs
Are Stationed In Egypt For Our Guidance Today.
If The NKJV Is Correct, The Signs Set Or Performed There Are Probably The Pyramids That The Children Of Israel Built And The Judgments Of God On Egypt.
When I Look At The Pyramids Today, I Don't See Any Special Powers Except That God Not Aliens Strengthened The Children Of Israel To Build Some Of Them For Pharaoh.
Some See The Great Pyramid/The Pillar Of Enoch As A Special Monument Meant To Guide Us.
The Next Verse In Jeremiah Clarifies The Previous One In Showing That The Signs And Wonders Of God Followed The Children Of Israel As They Left Egypt Not Because They Brought Egyptian Knowledge With Them.
21 You have brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror
Notice The 'Signs' Here Are To Bring 'Israel Out Of The Land Of Egypt' Not To Make Them Experts In Egyptology.
20 You performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, both in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours. ... 35 They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin. (Jeremiah 32 NIV)
Notice That God Is Not Speaking Highly Of Egyptian Ways But Is Condemning It.
God Here 'Gave Them Over' Rather Than Judged Them,
To Let Them Know What Their Own Devices Would Lead To, But God Would Be Justified In Judging Such Ones.
Worship Is Simply What One Puts Most Of Their Time And Energy In And That Keeps One From The Plain Sense Of Scripture.
This Is Confirmed In Acts 7 Where The Jews Are Condemned For 'Worshipping The Heavenly Bodies' Which They Gleaned From Egypt.
"But God turned away and gave them over to the worship of the heavenly bodies. This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets: "'Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?
43 You have lifted up the shrine of Molech and the star of your god Rephan, the idols you made to worship. Therefore I will send you into exile' beyond Babylon." (Acts 7)

Now There Are Those That Have Invested Much Time And Energy
Into God's And Man's Creation And In Seeing A Confirmation Of Biblical Truth And Introduction Of New Truth But The Fact Is That We Cannot Use General Revelation To Explain Or Add To The Special Revelation Of God's Word.
For Those Already Steeped In This Kind Of Extrabiblical Knowledge, It Can Still Become A Testimony Of How God Can Deliver Them From Such Deceptive Distractions, Similar To How Former Cultists And Atheists Can Give Us A Glimpse Into The Complexities Of Their Deceptions By Letting Us Know What To Watch Out For.
