This discussion group sets out to explore the creation of a Christian Libertarian Party. This party will be based on the writings of Michael Bindner, which can be viewed at http://www.geocities.com/christianlibertarianparty/index.html
As time goes on, subgroups will be created at the state and congressional district level.

How does this compare with the other parties? Like the Republicans and Christian Democrats, we do not believe in abortion, however we do not believe in banning the procedure. Instead, we seek to use tax policy to encourage childbirth. The generous tax benefits we support, as well as our support for an income tax for the wealthy, lock us out of the Libertarian and Republican parties. Finally, we differ from the Democrats on Social Security (we would privatize) as well as abortion.
