Only in Christianity is God thought of as being totally male. In different cultures, God is thought of in terms of not only in masculine pronouns but female also.
Judaism has long known that God is both male and female. Not in a dualistic nature, either (dualistic nature meaning that they oppose either other) but in a nature of both needing both (in a composite unity structure).

In my personal view the mystery long pointed to as a monotheism is
exactly that; a mystery. I know He is always seen as male and this
may ultimately be true. Jesus, Yahweh, Jehova, etc...It's still
that monotheism mystery and attempts at naming what never ever had a
name. It pre-existed all human naming entirely. A reasonable
hypothesis or conjecture for this NY soul. :)
But the reality of this monotheism? Who knows. My somewhat radical
notion was only based on the idea that the central designer of the
universe and world may be something more neutral than we are
commonly taught in the world.
Interesting. The syllable God is neutral. The historical
names ring in the ear as masculine but that simple syllable is
neutral.
Who knows? Just a guy here in NY wondering aloud on
paper/computer screen.
