The purpose of this group is to provide information, facilitate discussion and engage support in relation to the conservation of the lily hybrids developed by Dr Christopher North.
During the 1960s and 70s Dr Christopher North (Chris North to those who knew him) used Asiatic varieties and species to create an array of hybrid lilies, which combined the elements lily lovers might use to define “beauty”, i.e. elegance (of form), subtlety (of colour) and delicacy (of scent).
This group has been formed with the aim of engaging people, whether committed devotees of North Hybrids or interested novices, in helping to ensure a lily legacy that should not be allowed to disappear.
