Description

Soldiers of Fortune in Exile Worldwide. The American Legion China Post 1 Memorial Division "China Seas- Philippines" is located in Baguio City, Philippines with the Official Watering Hole and Safehouse "The Red Lion". Membership is open to all veterans who served honorably in the military as described by the American Legion Membership Requirements. Prior to World War II there existed a very small but noticeable Marine (26th Regiment) Corps and Navy (The U.S. Asiatic Fleet) presence in China until the Japanese war in China forced us to withdraw. During World War II a number of U.S. Army Army Air Corps fighter pilots served in China either with the American (Flying Tigers) Volunteer Group and later following Pearl Harbor with the U.S. Fourteenth Air Force. Generals Chenault and Ward, "Flying Tigers" fame, Pappy Boyington and other heroes add to the colorful history of this famous American Legion Post. "Soldiers of fortune in Exile Worldwide"..... Join us in Comradeship and Community Service here in the Philippines as a Veteran, Allied Friend, Or Wives and Daughters Auxilliary. ADDRESS: CDR. J. D. Keller/ RAO Baguio, PSC 517 Box RCB, FPO AP 96517-1000 CELL PHONE: +63 0927 445 6868. LOCATION: The Red Lion Pub and Inn, Baguio City (074) 304-3078 Click to join ChinaPost1_Philippines
