China Dads is a group of Dads with children adopted from China, prospective Dads seeking information, and soon-to-be-Dads. Our purpose is fellowship and to share ideas and experiences about parenting a child adopted from China. Terry Garlock is the list owner and moderator.

Membership is restricted to those approved by the moderator. Members are asked to be tolerant of views different than their own. Men of diverse backgrounds, beliefs, nationalities, attitudes and politics can co-exist in friendship if they refrain from trying to persuade others they are wrong.

Unlike other lists, we can discuss whatever subject we like, even politics. Unlike other lists, what we CANNOT DO here is pick apart the posts of others and try to argue them into submission. We each say what we wish so long as it is not derogatory or impolite to other members, and we are asked to tolerate or overlook posts with which we disagree. The moderator firmly believes disagreement and divergent opinions are natural, and trying to reconcile everything is a fool's errand. So the bottom line is "Play nice, no biting!"
