Description

China Chamber of Commerce in U.S.A. was registered in New York in 1996. The membership at the inception was close to 100 enterprises, over 1200 people. It is the most important Chinese commercial organization outside of China, and one of the major Chambers of Commerce of all countries in the United States.

美国中国商会是在中国外经贸部、美国商务部及美中贸易全国委员会支持下，于1996年1月24日在纽约注册成立的大型非盈利组织。是中国在海外最大，也是在美国最具有影响力的商会组织之一。

商会前两任会长为上海国际(美洲)集团有限公司董事长沈被章先生。现会长为中国远洋运输北美公司总裁张立勇先生。付会长单位有中国银行纽约分行中国外经贸部纽约中国贸易中心，中国粮油(纽约)公司，中国国际航空（美洲）中国建筑（美国），中国五矿（美国）。商会理事单位有交通银行(美国)、中国信托(美国)、中国石化(美国)、中国保险(美国)、中国纺织(美国)等单位。涵盖了电子，机械，石油，化工，五金，矿产，粮油食品，服装鞋类，玩具工艺品等十大行业，包括公营、股份制及民营企业。也组成了从制造，出口，进口，批发，金融，保险，海陆空运输，仓储，广告，展览，咨询等完整的商业链。

CCC会员单位长期在中美贸易中担当重要角色，在中美700亿美元贸易额(2001年统计)中占有相当比重。很多会员在国际及中国工商界声誉卓著，名列500大，100大等排行榜之中。（美国中国商会）也是中国大陆行业性及地区性商会在美国的代表，这些商会所属企业会员约为200万个。美国中国商会并与美国制造商、采购商、批发商及主要华商团体建立有密切关系。

商会以促进中美贸易，协助国内各省市政府、企业来美招商，提供商务咨询，为会员服务为宗旨。介绍客户，举办各类专题讲座，使会员熟悉美国法规，掌握市场动态，抓住投资及贸易商机，为会员获取商务工作签证，提供指导与帮助。在协助中国各省市开拓海外市场，招商引资方面不仅起到桥梁作用，而且提供一系列相关的指导和服务。
