CWM Overview
•CWM promotes community connections and support for working mothers and their families in the Cheverly area through community events. As part of more fully connecting working mothers and their families with the community we welcome all members of the community that support women being able to both devote themselves to family and children and also have meaningful and fulfilling careers to join CWM. We welcome spouses, parents/ grandparents, and friends of working mothers to lend their support as part of CWM.
•CWM provides an on-line support group and in person community activities for working mothers, providing a mechanism for sharing strategies on parenting issues for children at various ages from infancy through college age, on how to maintain career growth while maintaining a healthy family life, on finding time for self and on how to balance all these aspects of a working mother’s life.
•CWM keeps Cheverly members updated on current events related to working women’s issues and advocate for working women with local policy makers, particularly in terms of better childcare options, more flexible work policies, and equal opportunity for working women.
•In the coming years CWM plans to provide educational seminars and workshops on topics relevant to working mothers and/ or their families.
•CWM will work to provide career networking and support for Cheverly area working mothers, whether working outside the home, working from home, or transitioning back to work, and facilitating where possible the career growth and advancement of CWM working women.
