Chapel Hill Durham Alternative Parenting is a local group of moms (and dads are welcome too) who are raising their children in the attachment parenting style. We like to have discussions about thoughtful parenting, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, baby wearing/ using slings, homeschooling vs. traditional schooling options and alternative vaccinations schedules. We also like to share our favorite books, links and activities with each other. We are located in Chapel Hill, Durham, Carrboro, and in Orange, Durham, and Alamance Counties in North Carolina, in the research triangle, NC. If you're moving to the area or live here already this may be the group for you. Ideally, before we add a prospective member to the list we like to get the name of a person who referred you (you can let us know this in the "comments" when you indicate you'd like to join), or we'd be happy to meet you at one of our group playdates.
