This list is for the parents and children who are adopting, have adopted, or have been adopted from Jilin Province in The People's Republic of China.

It is also a forum to be used for the benefit of our children, as their lives are intricately woven into our own, as well as the children who are left behind.

Jilin
"Ji" = "lucky" ... "Lin" = "forest"
Manchu words Jilin Wula means along the river of Song Hua Jiang (Sungari). The Manchu people called this province Jilin and left off the word Wula (along).
Jilin thus means "lucky forest."

Please note this group is ONLY OPEN TO THOSE WITH STRONG TIES the Jilin Province. As a member of a restricted list it is a requirement of joining to provide some basic information about your interest in this group. A reply to the email that is launched on your request is mandatory.
