Welcome to Centre County Babywearers! Our mission is to promote babywearing by educating families and caregivers about the use and many benefits of baby carriers and slings.

Meetings
We meet on the second Monday of each month at 10:30 am at the Patton Township Building in State College, PA. Detailed directions are available to group members in our calendar. All soon-to-be or experienced parents, other caregivers, and their children are welcome at our meetings.
At our meetings, you’ll learn about the many different types of baby carriers and the benefits and drawbacks of each type, so that you can make an educated decision abut what’s right for you. If you already have experience with baby carriers, you might be able to pick up a few new techniques, try carriers you haven’t tried out yet, or help share the babywearing love by sharing your experiences with new parents.
We are also always available between meetings to help you with any issues or questions you might have. We can help with any type of carrier, so please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it!
Lending Library
To give our members a great way to try out different types of carriers before buying, we have collected a number of popular brands of baby carriers and instructional videos which will be available to group members for a two-week loan period after each meeting.
Vendor Policy
We are a nonprofit organization, and we do not endorse any one brand of baby carrier over another. Our goal is to provide you with information so that you can feel comfortable with whatever you choose to buy. We do not sell slings.
