This group is to support families schooling at home in the Greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. We welcome any family schooling at home, regardless of method,(homeschooling, cyberschooling, private tutor,) religious affiliation, race, age, income, etc.

This online group is a place for us to share information with each other such as area classes, lists of music teachers, sport opportunities, field trips, website links, etc. (Be sure to check out our "LINKS" and "FILES" section first for what you are looking for!)

This group will also help us develop a community with, (and get support from,) other parents schooling at home in our local area. It's a way to ask a question of someone you may run into at local meetings, co-ops, or field trips, as opposed to using a statewide or nationwide yahoo group.

Behavior rules are the typical ones: be respectful and polite to each other, you are not allowed to push any personal agendas (religious, political, schooling or otherwise,) and off-topic (not related to schooling-at-home) posts should start with 'OT' in the subject line.

To join, please include a brief message to the moderators which includes your name, town or borough, name of any homeschooling support groups or cyberschool you belong to, and how you found our group. (We ask this information for security reasons.)
