Description

Welcome to CentralWisconsinLiteFlyers. This group has been created to serve EAA Ultralight Chapter 75 as well as anyone interested in the sport of aviation.

Ultralight vehicles and Sport planes are the focus of this group. However, we welcome pilots of all tpes both here and in our club.

A fair amount of the pilots in Chapter 75 are based out of the Wausau Downtown Airport (AUW) or the Merrill Municipal airport. Some types of aircraft you’ll see around Wausau and Merrill include: Quicksilver (MXL II, GT 400), Challenger, Kitfox, Avid, SeaRey, Chinook, Mini-max, and more.

However, we are bigger than Merrill and Wausau. We have members flying from many different local airports and grass strips all over Wisconsin. Some of whom fly Trikes, Powered Parachutes (PPC), and/or Powered Paragliders (PPG).

During the summer we’ll hold meetings at fly-ins about once a month. A lot of these fly-ins have overnight camping available.

EAA UL Chapter 75 is also a regular at Oshkosh’s annual AirVenture show. Look for our friends in the Ultralight area.

Well, enough introduction. Come on in and take a look around. If you live in the central Wisconsin area, do not hesitate to sign up for an introductory flight. Just ask us how and well point you towards the closest instructor.

Enjoy.
