Central Texas Audubon Society. Members in and around Waco. Our meetings, field trips and workshops are free and open to the public. We meet the third Tuesday of the month ( Sept- Nov and Feb- May)at Carleen Bright Arboretum which is located at Bosque and Estates Drive , Woodway, Texas. Refreshements are served at 7pm and the programs start at 7:30pm.. Newsletters for those months will be posted in "files" with information about the month's program by the second week of the month. We now have Central Texas Audubon Patches for sale. The patches will be available at the member meetings or you can contact Janet Wallace at cjwallace@hot.rr.com to order them. The patch is $5.00 and if ordering thru the mail there will be a small shipping and handling fee. With the continuing drought in the area it is a good idea to provide a water source for our birds. They are attracted by the sound of water. Their are many ways to accomplish this at little or no cost. One is to simply hang a plastic jug full of water, with a pin hole in the bottom, over a shallow saucer.
