Dear Center for Non-Dualism Participants,

It is with deep regret that we need to inform you of the resignation
of Don Daniels as Director and Council Member, and the resignation of
Deb Daniels as Council Member. This information has come to Bill
Campbell and I as Directors, and the Council Members in an email from
Don dated February 18, 2008, 3;54 pm. This has come as a complete
surprise to Bill and I, and we do not really know why this has
happened. In a spirit of openness in our Center community, the
complete text of the email is as follows:

"This is a very difficult, but necessary decision. It is not an
easy decision, nor one taken lightly. But for us, it is the right
thing to do. Deb and I are going to resign from our respective
positions with the CND effective immediately. The reasons are many,
as things like this are usually complicated and never just one thing.
We have contemplated, prayed and had many discussions late into the
night to come to this place. We know that you will respect our
decision. There are new and important personal issues and situations
that have entered our sadhana and require a lot of our time. The CND
is now established and running smoothly. With both of you as
directors, and with the multiple talents of the Council members, I'm
sure it will continue to do so."

Over coming days and weeks we will keep you informed about whatever
reorganizations will be happening in relation to the Center for Non-
Dualism.

Our Conference this weekend, Saturday, February 23 will occur as
scheduled. The Sunday program for this Sunday, February 24 will occur
as scheduled.

Regards,

Bill and Swami J

PRESENTATIONS: There will be a total of five presentations, with each
presenter discussing three informative points or perspectives. The
topics are from a wide range of areas, with each person explaining
the practical relationship to Non-Dual perspectives and practices in
daily life. There will also be a Panel discussion and Q&A session.

SCHEDULE:

8:30 Arrival at meeting room
9:00 Introduction to morning programs
9:15 Bill Campbell (30 minutes; then break)
10:00 Debbie Bolender (30 minutes)
10:45 Guided Meditation (30 minutes; then break)
11:30 Swami J (30 minutes)
12:00 Lunch
1:30 Intro to afternoon programs
1:45 Carolyn Reynolds (30 minutes; then break)
2:30 Don Daniels (30 minutes; then break)
3:15 Guided Meditation (30 minutes; then break)
4:00 Panel Discussion and Q&A (45 minutes)
4:45 Closing remarks
5:00 End of conference
7:30 Optional Dinner at Thai restaurant (or Indian)

MEDITATIONS: There will be two guided meditations; one in the
morning, and one in the afternoon.

TOPICS:

Bill Campbell (9:15)
• Why would I pursue Non-Dualism?
• How does Nondualism relate to religion?
• How do I approach the study of these principles?

Debbie Bolender (10:00)
• How does the Nondual perspective relate to children and family?
• How do I integrate deep practice and daily living?
• How do I develop persistence or determination?

Swami Jnaneshvara (11:30)
• Theism, Atheism, and Non-Dualism
• How do I contemplate? What are "great" contemplations?
• What is shaktipat? How does it work?

Carolyn Reynolds (1:45)
• How can physical Yoga lead to direct Nondual experience?
• What are the correlations between Nondualism and psychology?
• How does one deal with doubts and laziness in spiritual practices?

Don Daniels (2:30)
• What are the various approaches to Nondualism? How do I choose?
• What does sat-chit-ananda (existence, consciousness, bliss) mean?
• What's the bottom line? What do I need to do for direct experience?

LUNCH: Lunch will be available at the hotel restaurant. During the
morning (by 9:30) we will each need to select from meals on the forms
which are in our meeting room. The cooks will prepare our individual
meals so that they are ready when we break for lunch at 12:00. We
will each need to pay the Ramada directly for our individual meals.
Having our meals prepared like this will leave us time for a walk on
the beach after lunch and lots of time to enjoy one another..

FEES: The conference is being offered in the traditional way of
imparting these kinds of teachings. That is, there is no fee.
However, we live in a very real world, even though it might
ultimately be unreal in the Non-Dualistic sense. Therefore, we ask
that you donate whatever you feel is an appropriate amount for a
conference of this type. Your donations will most definitely
determine the future of the conferences and the Center for Non-
Dualism.

Subject: Expanding Programs of the Center
swamijb
Send Email Send Email

Dear Center Participants,

In the coming weeks and months we will be expanding the programs of
the Center. What we all have in common, and why we come together as a
community is the perspective of nondualism, of one absolute reality
without a second, like the waves that are not separate from the
ocean. Yet, we each have our own unique ways of approaching this in
our mental, emotional, and spiritual lives. The new programs will
allow the sharing of specific practices that some of our Participants
are actively living.

Our morning program format (11:00-12:00) is working quite well, and
as the saying goes, if it's not broken, don't fix it. Three days ago
we had a long talk with the Cayo Grande Hotel management, and have
worked out a quite amicable arrangement whereby we can use the room
after our morning program for some of these expanded programs.
Therefore, the cost of the room can come out of our regular program
donations. In other words, we can offer these programs to ourselves
without having to charge any fees or having to collect additional
donations.

The concept is that one or another such program will happen
approximately every three to four weeks. We'll let time and
experience guide us in determining the frequency and nature of the
programs. We'll start this process by having a kirtan
(chanting/singing) program on Sunday, March 2, starting at 12:30 pm.
We'll have the room until 3:00 pm, but our actual time will be
decided once the kirtan gets started. The program will be facilitated
by Faith and Tulsi, along with Faith's husband Gary. Please bring a
tiny offering for veggie potluck, keeping in mind that we don't have
lots of room, and don't want to end up with too much left-over.

A few weeks later (date to be determined) Mike Beck will guide us in
a drumming circle at 12:30. Carolyn Reynolds will have an ultra-
beginning hatha yoga class designed especially for those of our
Center with little or no experience (We want to talk with Felicia and
Tammy about this as well, but we didn't want to wait in getting this
announcement sent out). Swami J will do some longer guided
meditations, up to an hour in length, as well as breath training.
We're talking with some of the Course in Miracles people who view
that process as one of nondualism about their offering a program for
a couple hours approximately once a quarter. There will be more to
come, and we'll of course let you know when we know.

The spirit of these types of programs is to offer individual programs
on a time-to-time basis. If any of our Participants want to do more
of specific activities, the hope is that you will do so at the
regular location of the program facilitator. For example, Faith does
kirtan separately from the Center; Mike does drumming circles here
and there; the hatha yoga teachers offer programs at the studios
where they teach. Others of us offer various programs here and there.

We are personally excited about these programs, and find great
interest in others based on the individual conversations we've had,
including with both Council Members and Center Participants. We will
keep you updated on the programs and hope that you enjoy them.

In loving service,

Bill

Ramada, and was speaking with a fellow named Brad. Brad asked, "What do
you want us to put on the marquee in front of the hotel?" Tisha thought
for a moment and said put "Center for NonDualism." Brad asked, "Do you
want us to put it on both sides of the marquee?" "Oh, yes, both sides"
Tisha responded. Brad asked, "But wouldn't having it on both sides of
the sign be dualistic?"

Unfortunately it is necessary to cancel the chanting/signing/kirtan
session for afternoon of Sunday, March 2. Faith McElroy has a very bad
cold and is quietly sitting at home healing. The program will be
rescheduled another Sunday, hopefully soon.

In honoring diversity, we, the Center will be having other afternoon
programs from time to time over coming months; programs which reflect a
wide variety of practices that individual Participants in our Center do
on their own personal journey to realization of the One. The spirit of
these is one of sharing personal journeys, not the Center itself
promoting any particular methods or practices.

Come, sit with us after the service on Sunday and listen to oldest
rhythm maker known to mankind, our hearts, as we explore that which
is hidden there that comes out so naturally when a native american or
african drum is at hand. No experience necessary, just a willingness
to listen to yourself and to be guided by that which we'll create
together. Drums and other percussive fun things provided, or bring
your own.

Mike Beck, our drum guide, is a local artist who creates custom hand
drums in the traditional ways of cultures from around the world--
Celtic, Middle Eastern, West African and native to the Americas. He
lives in Navarre, Fl where he has a small workshop on the shores of
East Bay. He regularly guides drum circles and drum creationshops
around the country helping himself and others engange the greatest
mystery in the physical universe - rhythm
