SPEAKER and TOPIC:
John Lemire: "Nutrition and Spiritual Practice"
John Lemire has been studying Yoga and Meditation since he was twenty years old.
Highly influenced by Paramahansa Yogananda, he traveled down to South Florida
during the fall of '07 to be initiated into Kriya Yoga by Roy Eugene Davis.
John has studied the teachings of many world religions and teachers, including:
Eckhart Tolle, Ramana Maharashi, Carlos Castaneda, Gandhi, Jesus, Swami
Satyananda, Swami Sivananda, and many others.
Having been a Raw Food Vegan for over a year and a half, John is passionate
about nutrition and its effects on both the physiological state and the
psychological state. Through self experimentation, John has become aware of the
profound way in which raw foods, meditation and yoga blend together to create a
synergistic effect. He pursues his experiments with this potent combination of
lifestyle habits with enthusiasm and earnestness. He hopes to help make people
aware, and incorporate this tremendously practical combination into their own
lives.
John teaches yoga and writes in his off time. He graduated from Laura Tyree's
Yoga Teacher Training in February, 2010, and he teaches at Dragonfly Yoga. He
writes articles about his experiences and daily happenings on his blog.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The Center for Non-Dualism is a community for people who share the
Non-Dual perspective of Religion, Yoga, and Philosophy. The purpose
of the Center is to maintain a loving fellowship and to provide a
nurturing environment that is conducive to learning and experiencing
the oneness of Non-Dualism.
Non-Dualism is the orientation that there is one absolute reality
without a second, and that each of us, although an individual person,
is one with that reality, just as a wave is not separate from the
ocean. The emphasis of our Center is on the practices such as
contemplation and meditation which lead to the direct experience of
this Non-Dual reality.
