For all those who practice or are interested in solitary life (especially solitary eremitical life) within the Catholic Church, and for those who value solitude and all the ways one comes to encounter and embrace it. Any topic pertaining to any of these is welcome.

Persons of all faiths are welcome; however, the list observes a fundamental fidelity to and respect for the living magisterium of the Catholic Church. This fidelity includes respect for normative use of titles in the Church. (That is, only those publicly vowed in the Church may use the titles associated with religious and consecrated states.) Please be careful in your choice of screenames in this regard. Lay hermits are especially welcome on this list for the unique perspective they bring to discussions, but for that very reason we ask that they do not style themselves as religious (canonical hermits).
